All about Margin of error

Before we understand margin of error, first let’s understand two key concepts: population and sample.

The population represents the entire group that you are interested in the study and the sample is the subset of the population. Since a sample is used to represent a population, the results drawn from the sample are expected to differ from what the result would have been if the entire population was surveyed. This difference is called the margin of error.
